Refreshing to walk into a wood/materials store and be welcomed like they want to both support my needs and educate me in the process.
Gonna spend my money here, not in Denver at the arrogant hardwoods stores there
Thank you,

Matt, the shop foreman at CO Lumber, renovated our kitchen island and we couldn't be more pleased with the results! Additionally, he offered the most competitive bid in consideration of labor and use of high quality materials. If he has existing jobs on his calendar and is not immediately available, please know that he is worth the wait.

I expected to find all unfinished products (given the name of the business) but they carry 'Mid-Continent Cabinetry' products which are available in a large variety of solid woods/finishes/styles. They also offer the services of their cabinet design/layout guru, Carolyn, who will not only visit your location but give you a professional print-out of design ideas for your room(s) along with an itemized list of the products/prices. Finally, CO Lumber prices *and* quality beat what I would have paid from a big box store. In my opinion you can't go wrong purchasing finished cabinetry from Carolyn at CO Lumber Specialties.

Do NOT buy cabinets from here! most especially do NOT buy Kitchen Kompact cabinets from here as the manufacturing quality is horrible and CO Lumber will not stand behind these cabinets. The manufacturer will not stand behind them either. The cabinets will have sharp edges on the insides, tape and paint overspray inside in every corner and when removed the edges are so sharp you will cut your fingers or arm if you rub against these reaching inside the cabinet. There will be rough areas on the exterior that look like bumps that are extra areas of dried paint, chips and dents painted with hanging pieces of wood painted. The inside bottoms of cabinets will not be finished and will be rough so you can't clean them. The cabinets will have lopsided drawers that can not be adjusted. They will have cabinet doors that are so uneven they can't be adjusted so will have to be removed, holes drilled, old holes filled and rehung. Floor cabinets will have bowed areas so you can't get them level for new countertops. The outside walls are uneven or not plumb. And the salesperson will not do the plan correctly leaving out filler where you should have a filler, will tell you that you can have a cabinet design and then provide something else while refusing to replace it for what was ordered. And yes, they will tell you that it is expected for you, the buyer, to pay someone to repair the brand-new cabinets at installation. Their repair kit was and a marker that doesn't even match the paint color. After having to pay someone for over 8-hours of work to repair these cabinets, they can NOT be made to look even halfway decent. I have no option now but to pay for the cabinets to be un-installed, hauled away to a dump and am buying new cabinets elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY CABINETS FROM CO LUMBER & REAL WOOD FURNITURE. DO NOT BUY KITCHEN KOMPACT CABINETS!!!!!!

We're sorry to see this review. As you know, we have left you several messages about Kitchen Kompact being willing to replace cabinets with structural issues and/or overspray, and that any doors with issues would be replaced as well at no charge.
As of yet, we still haven’t heard from you what you would like as a resolution for the cabinet issues.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the issues that you are having with these cabinets. We would still like to work with you to come to a resolution for this project.
If you’d like to discuss this in person, our General Manager and/or owners would be happy to sit down and discuss everything with you. If you’d like to set up a time to do so, please let us know.May 20, 2022Previous reviewTheir General Manager (GM), Eric Smith, was incredibly welcoming and friendly when I went to the store, was very friendly and wanted my business. He gave me the business card of their salesperson, Eric Guerke. I looked at the displays in their store and the displays of their top line, middle line, and lowest line (Kitchen Kompact) were all excellent. I remember being surprised that when I looked at the lowest line, Kitchen Kompact, that the cabinets looked excellent, no quality issues, no visible issues, and I looked in the cabinets as well as at the exterior. Eric G then came to my home. I was going to buy the most expensive line. Then I was told they had to be ordered and it would be at least 12 weeks. I asked about the middle line and was told the same thing. Then he told me that the Kitchen Kompact were in stock, there would be no ordering wait time. I asked him if they would be cheap and if they looked as nice as they did with the display in the store. I was told they are of excellent quality, would look just as nice as in the store, and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. During the install I called Eric Guerke and told him that a cabinet is wrong, not per our discussion or the design and he refused to do anything and did not even take the time to check his plan/design. He then just simply said that it was not available. He simply did not care and had no intention of even attempting to make this correct. The quality is horrible. The cabinets all have jagged edges on the lower shelf/shelves, and the inside middle bar for double cabinets. I cut my wrist (2") reaching in to wipe and clean out a cabinet. The cabinets have chips, slivers, dings, splits all of which are from manufacturing as they are covered in paint inside of the splits, dings, chips and slivers - this is NOT damage from installation but from very poor manufacturing. There is glue all over inside of drawers. Drawers are not flat and do not fit correctly. Sides of cabinets are not straight. None of the double cabinets have doors which will hang evenly. Cabinets had rough unfinished bottom shelves. Cabinets have what appear to be bubbles in the drying of paint. Cabinets have paint overspray. Cabinets have rough areas on the outside. Cabinets have areas unfinished and not painted or poorly painted inside. Cabinets have thick metal staples and nails inside (cut myself on one of these). Cabinets have shelves too wide and uneven so the shelf will not lay flat. Cabinets have corner, edges and sides with what appears to be dried paint on perhaps painters tape, or it is just hanging dried paint. When this is peeled off it just leaves more sharp edges. There is not one cabinet that is acceptable. Eric G the salesperson would not take my phone calls as my calls were rejected to go to his voicemail. Eric Smith the GM would not take my calls. Eric Smith the GM refused to see me when I went to the store. I was lied to and told he was at lunch when he was in his office. I showed Adam at CLC pictures, emailed him pictures, asked to have Eric the GM call me and to date the only person who called me back has been Adam. I told Adam, if I had been told the truth, if I had been told how poorly manufactured these Kitchen Kompact cabinets are in reality, I would have very gladly waited and paid a heck of a lot more money for something that had to be ordered. I was lied to about the quality of these cabinets. Adam was instructed to tell me that they would have Matt (who installed cabinets) "inspect the cabinets" and they would "give Matt a little repair kit". I have already inspected the cabinets. A repair kit will not fix all the problems from manufacturing. Being treated this disrespectfully just because I am a single woman 'without a man to fight my battles' is so wrong! This store would not have treated a man in the same manner in which they have treated me.

We love our new office conference table! Everyone at CO Lumber--from the sales person to those who hauled this huge table up 2 flights of stairs--was incredibly helpful.
