“AKALA KO WALA NA AKONG PAG-ASA SA BUHAY” Zaldy Gavica came all the way from Camarines Sur to Laguna to study at Dualtech. Before setting foot at Dualtech, Zaldy thought that the life he had was already his destiny. Growing up in an environment where resources for an education are scarce, he learned to be content. Furthermore, his parents could no longer support him and his seven siblings. Zaldy took it upon himself and found work. He juggled through several blue-collar jobs. Depending on the need he would be a construction worker or a laborer. When projects were scarce he ended-up as a pedicab driver. Through all his effort, he roughly made a little more than a hundred pesos a day.
