Another glazing update. Based in Oxton on the Wirral. Last night we completed this beautiful job. With a 3.5 meter run up the stairs followed by a 3.1 and a 2.7 meter return this is one big staircase glazing job! Each of the 4 panels installed are made of 10mm toughened safety glass, polished all round. Once this product is toughened there is no going back. It has to be perfect. Using my favourite tape measure and my trusty angle finder I start by marking sure that I get every last detail perfect. As I am only human I then use my CAD drawing system to make all my deductions and double check my measuring skills are on point. A few weeks later and we are back installing the glass and as you can clearly see in these photos of this beautiful glass staircase the 23mm gap follows the stair stringer, handrail and newel posts perfectly! Bearing in mind the newel post aren’t level, the hand rail is 40mm higher at the top than the bottom the big glass staircase jigsaw fits perfectly. This is bespoke made to measure glass work at its finest. No mess no templates just vast experience and precision in the glazing game!
