When guest arrive or when neighbors drive by what do you want your front door to look like? The left picture or right? This homeowners door started showing age not long after it was newly finished. What happened? Turns out the original painter used $20 interior based lacquer on $5k plus exterior door. 🤦‍♂️ We ended up stripping this beautiful mahogany door down to the bare wood and re-stained it with old masters gel stain. Then we finished it with 3 coats of Masterclear Supreme exterior which is a waterbased self-crosslinking acrylic/aliphatic polyurethane protective topcoat that dries quickly to a crystal clear finish. It has outstanding gloss retention and clarity with added UV Blockers and Absorbers that greatly reduce the sun’s graying and fading effects on stained wood and painted surfaces, keeping front doors looking fresh for years. If your door is looking worn out, message us and let’s see if we can help make your door beautiful again!
