Avoiding Property Scammers
Like any other industry in business, property scams exist as well. To avoid being scammed in purchasing nonexisting property or a dilapidated property in the middle of a crime ridden neighborhood, you need to look out for various signs. When the seller says that they won’t be able to meet in person or cannot show you the property for some reason, that is a dangerous sign that this is a scam. Verify property documents, ask for proof of identification from the seller or real estate agent, visit the actual site and never transact online if you think it might not be legitimate.
