Just 15 mins boat ride away is our all time favorite dive site “New Rock Pinnacle”. In our local language we call it “aluth gala”. A few years ago fishermen found this spot because it was one of the best fishing spots in Unawatuna area. Little by little local commercial divers decided to take a look at those rocks and what they found was a beautiful dive site. The depth on top of the pinnacle is about 8 meter and it goes down to a maximum of 25 meters. Usually this dive is always a beautifully good choice -it has the best visibility most of the times and because of it’s multi levels you can decide in which depth you want to stay depending on the visibility, comfort and certification level.
