They are the classic approach shoe that have been based on a technical rock boot; • great for the walk into a climbing venue • great for scrambling • great for the lower grades and via ferrata • a great instructor’s “all day” crag shoe They have a loop on each heel so that you can clip them to your harness while you’re climbing in a more technical boot then you can switch back to the Boulders at the top for a comfortable and secure descent back to your gear (that is if it hasn’t been stolen by the squirrel at Dewerstone Rocks). The outsole is Vibram sticky rubber with an Impact Brake System which means you are secure on all surfaces wet or dry with good shock absorption for descending and with the patented all-round asymmetric lacing system borrowed from the legendary La Sportiva Mythos climbing shoe you know you are going to be able to get a really dextrous, secure fit for your feet. If I had any personal criticism it would be that as the shoe has been borne from a technical rock boot design it is not, for me, comfortable to walk huge distances in and I do mean miles and miles. That said over the years I’ve worn mine in anger all day at work in the office, walking into crags, climbing low grade trad routes, mountain biking, and of course most importantly they look great in the pub when you are having your post-climb Jail Ale!
