This week, the Zarzaur Law, P.A. legal team represented a car accident victim in Escambia County Circuit Court. The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) and one of their 36,000-pound garbage trucks were the defendants. ECUA, despite our client having been treated for six years for a back injury caused by this accident, refused to offer anything more than $30,000. The jury in the trial this week, after hearing the evidence and after considering all of the defenses from ECUA and its lawyer, Peter Martin of Tallahassee, ruled in our client's favor and awarded our client $802,000. It is certainly a victory for our client and absolutely a victory for community safety in our city.
