A decade back, our Director Mr Mahesh Khatri received Microsoft's Top Software Architecture Awards at their 2009 & 2010 Tech-Ed conferences in India. These helped us to learn the Microsoft Cloud - Azure & Sharepoint. Since then, the rise of the Cloud has been overtaken by the rise of AI whose continuous advances force all of us to and re-learn the basics. With this, we are happy to announce that Microsoft & Udacity recently gave us another opportunity to dig into the AI & Cloud trenches, by selecting Mr Mahesh Khatri for the Machine Learning Foundation Scholarship program for Microsoft Azure. Why is this so important ? A few days ago (July 6th), India mourned the 18th death anniversary of the legendary Reliance founder Mr Dhirubhai Ambani. While once interviewing a senior executive, Mr Ambani sprang a surprise - he asked the candidate the market price of a kilogram of onions & potatoes. The interviewee was understandably flummoxed. Mr Ambani advised him to learn the basic prices, underlying the important fact that top management must not lose sight of market essentials. At a time when Reliance's Jio has unleashed a digital blitzkrieg on multiple verticals in India, it is worth remembering one of the most fundamental lessons of business - in challenging times, you must always go back to the basics.
