Had a service call from a customer in Cambridgeshire that was having some problems with their water softener. The water softener had a badly leaking valve head and was continually regenerating the resin media and using a lot of salt. As the old softener was over 10 years old, l recommended installing a Harvey's Dualflo nonelectric block salt model. The nice thing about this type of softener is that it uses blocks of salt, this makes it very easy for people to replace, rather than trying to pick up a 25 kg bag of salt. Also being non-electric, there are no worries about setting microprocessors, and power outages.
