We had a call from a customer in Cambridgeshire that was having problems with their ultraviolet water purification filtration system. They noticed that the UV controller was no longer showing the count down days left on it before the UV light needed to be changed. After carrying out some troubleshooting checks on the controller, l could see that the PCB board had short-circuited out. The customer told me that this happened yesterday after the thunderstorms and lightning put out the electricity to the house. Fortunately, l had a spare UV controller in the van, so l replaced the old one and now the system is running properly once more.
