Goodyear Issues Tire Recall 20 Years Too Late It is the G159. It was designed primarily for delivery vehicles in metro areas. It never passed the internal tests at Goodyear for highway speeds in excess of 65 miles per hour. It was installed on many new recreational vehicles and motor homes beginning in 1996. There were manufactured in two different plants with diameters that differed by 0.59 inches. But many tires failed at highway speeds. For 20 years Goodyear used confidential settlements and non-disclosure agreements to hide the fact that the tire failed in numerous horrific crashes. People died. People were injured. Now the public and the federal regulators have access to internal Goodyear documents and settlement agreements. Goodyear executives could be prosecuted in criminal court because they failed to report a safety issue. Have you been injured in a car accident or any vehicle accident? Do you know your legal rights?
