SUMMER IS HERE - GET READY Summer has arrived, and storm season has begun! Thunderstorms, windstorms, and hailstorms are most common in the afternoons and evenings during the summer months. Planning ahead of time and learning what to do before, during, and after a summer storm is the greatest way to protect yourself and your home. The first step is to design a disaster strategy. Make evacuation plans with your family and decide when an evacuation is essential. There are certain simple steps you may take in almost any situation. You can do the following if you are terrified of water, wind, or lightning: -Clear out your gutters. -Storm shutters should be purchased and installed. -Trim tree limbs as needed. -Keep an eye out for weather forecasts and patterns. -Fix loose patio furniture -When the storm hits, seek cover in a basement or inner room. Once the storm has gone and it is safe to walk outside, inspect the outside of your home. Make a detailed record of any damage. Prepare to contact your insurance agent after your inspection is finished. Collect your policy number and, if you have a copy, read it. When you begin the filing procedure, a firm representative will come to your home to assess the damage. Do not schedule any work before the representative has had an opportunity to see the damage. Contact Quality Restoration after you have completed the insurance procedures to organize your storm recovery!
