I started using Zen Cart back in 2006 when I had a requirement to change shopping cart systems. Previous to that I was using a system called Get Trolleyed, which was a system developed by a company in Cumbria. While at the time, the Get Trolleyed system was a fantastic lightweight shopping cart. It relied on Perl Scripts which were getting outdated. So I started looking at other systems, and Zen Cart Ecommerce was one of the systems that stood out as being excellent to work with.
