Dhaulagiri Mountain Dhaulagiri and Annapurna are the adjoining Himalayan ranges in western Nepal. Dhaulagiri’s name comes from Sanskrit, which means white mountain. Interestingly, Mount Dhaulagiri was considered as the world’s highest mountain until 1852. It is one of the most challenging treks of Nepal and lies in the restricted areas of Nepal. Thus, it is less explored, and very few trekkers opt for Dhaulagiri trekking. The route follows an icy path along the deepest gorge of the world, Kali Gandaki. There are two high passes, the French Pass (5360m) and Dhampus Pass (5240 m), which requires a lot of energy, dedication, and stamina. The experienced Mountain Guides from Himalayan Circuit are always there to assist you further.
