In April, 2018, Eileen Forrestal from Sligo, Ireland, returned to a remote village beyond Koh Ker called Phum Thmei, meaning "New village!" It was a very new village in 2006 when Eileen & Majella Heally, also Irish, did a one day 4WD tour to Koh Ker & donated a well to this village with funds they had raised from cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia. We were thrilled to see Eileen back to inspect her donated well 12 years later . To date, since 2003, over 30 deep wells & 5 water reservoirs have been built in Preah Vihear & Siem Reap provinces by guests , facilitated by Hidden Cambodia Adventure Tours, in remote, emerging communities and schools location. Koh Ker lodge, built in 2009 has become a central point for these humanitarians , as the wells extend as far north as the base of Preah Vihear Temple.
