Thanks to Pierre and his wife for the great review of their stay on Feb 13th, 2020 They travelled by private taxi from Siem Reap to Preah Vihear. Mr. Ponleau, host, is pictured above " We have loved the experience and the opportunity to come closer to the rural cambodian village daily life. The house has all the basic confort needed and is very clean (with fresh white sheets and nice smelling towels). We have been welcomed very nicely by the family and the village all together, where we went for a walk. Before diner, we took a shower the Cambodian way, and although there is no running water and it is minimal confort for European standards, every thing is well organized, very clean and all essential commodities are here. We had a great dinner, with much more food than needed. Our host prepared many dishes ( pork, chicken, vegetable, rice...) so that we could try and discover different tastes The husband of the family stayed at the house in a hammock during the night to make sure every thing was ok which, in a way, is securizing In one short sentence : we loved it all ! - One suggestion coming from siem rep : best starting with Preah Vihear on day 1 "
