Under the King's Nose Thru the Bible: 2 Sam. 13-15 King David was an amazing man. He knew God perhaps better than anyone alive in his day. He honored God, repented quickly, was a notorious warrior and a kind ruler. Two areas where it might be said that David was seriously lacking was as a father and regarding Jewish law. While he loved his children, he did not rule them well and did not speak into their lives as he should have done. Also, when he needed to address issues requiring judgments, he sometimes failed to either know or consult the law before passing judgment. This week and next we will be learning of the inner and outer household of King David and learning life lessons from his mistakes.
