National Guilt Thru the Bible: 2Samuel 20-21 In this session, God judges Israel by sening a famine for the sins of it's deseased king Saul and his sons in breacking Isrel's oath to do the Gibeonites no harm. The big takeaways from this session is that: • God's judgments are not always within a timeframe which we understand • Those under authority also pay for the sins of their leaders. • God expects nations to keep their word and their promises. • God is the judge of the whole earth! When David prayed regarding the famine, God told him that it was due to Saul's sin and so David contacted the Gibeonites to see what would satisfy the wrong. The price was 7 of Saul's remaining heirs who they hung. When this happend God removed the famine considering the wrong "righted".
