David's song to God Thru the Bible: 1 Chron. 16-18; 2 Sam. 7-8 Following the first attempt to return the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, David faced an inner struggle...wrestling with God over his anger at Uzzah's death. Three long months he wrestled, but came out the other side both stronger in faith and wiser of heart. Following the return of the Ark of the Covenant David wrote this song in praise to God...the God he'd known and the God he'd come to know through inner struggle. The beginnings of this study cover that song and we have it for all time as a testament to the loving kindness of the Lord in wrestling with me and strengthening their hearts for union with Him.
