Casting our Care is an expression of Humility Series: Maintaining this Hope As Peter closes his first letter, he encourages submission to our spiritual leaders and to one another. He explains that arrogance causes one to be opposed by God, but humility draws His grace. That we are living in hostile territory with the devil like a lion seeking those he may devour. Our job is to resist him in the faith and cast all our cares upon God. Peter explains that to living free of anxiety and worry by casting our cares upon God is expressions of true humility towards Him as the God Who cares for us.
