King Josiah and his deeds of Faithful Love Thru the Bible: 2Kings 21:19-23:30; 2Chron. 33:2-35:27 Though the next king following Hezekiah was actually Amon, there is next to nothing really to tell about him. He was 22 when he became king, he was an evil man and he died 3 years later. King Josiah however.....! This young man took the throne at 8 years of age, reigned for 31 years and honored God throughout his entire lifetime! Three things are said of him which set him miles above all the other kings - even David. • He had a tender heart towards God • No other king led passover like he did • No king before or after turned to the Lord with all his mind and with all his heart and with all his strength according to all the law of Moses like Josiah. • God's account of his actions were that they were deeds of faithful love!
