Sufering & Glory Series: Do we Really Believe? As God's children we all part of our invitation...our "calling" into Christ is a calling to suffer. Suffering is to lay aside the sinful desires of the flesh and follow the inward leading of the Spirit. Romans 8 tells us that if we live according to the flesh we will die, but if BY THE SPIRIT we pur to death the DEEDS of the body we will live...and that living looks like "Christ in me". Glory and suffering are inexorably linked as opposing sides of the same coin.
