Israel is Divided Thru the Bible: 1Kings 12-14:31; 2Chron. 8-9:31-:23 This section deals with the dividing of Israel into two sub-nations. The greater portion of Israel was unified under a man from Ephraim named Jeroboam while Judah and Benjamin were unified under Judah's name and ruled byu Solomon's son Rehaboam. This chapter teaches us a lot in terms of God's rule and control regarding nations, who is appointed as ruler and how He often does so largly with aninimity so much so that it appears to the unlearned that all such decisions are in the hands of man or by their VOTE so to speak. but God works all things out according to the counsel of His own will.
