The Kings during Elisha's Ministry Pt. 1 Thru the Bible: 2Kings 8-10; 2Chron. 21-22:9 Elisha's ministry was follow-up to one of the most influencial and well known prophetic ministry of the Old Testament. Both Elijah & Elisha had a good number of dealings with the Kings of the kingdom of Israel. These chapters are the beginning of a two part session of teachings regarding Elisha's ministry and influence over the Kingdom of Israel. There are a ton of things these chapters reveal about God and His interactions with people and nations. One mistake people in the modern church often make is assuming that the New Covenant somehow changed God - as if He were the one who was broken and needed fixing. God DOES NOT CHANGE! So if He was ever sovereign, He still is, If He ever judged the nations He still does which makes these chapters valuable beyond the telling in guiding Christian understanding of events in our world.
