The Spirit's Law of Life in Christ Series: Do we Really Believe? The perfect law of liberty as mentioned in James and the Law of the Spirit of Life are the same law. Now I know that the word "law" here is as much metaphor as it is literal, but the truths behind them are absolutely real. In Christ we have life, which is intimate union with God. The Holy Spirit is the One Who reveals Jesus' words (His heart) to us and influences us to live in faithful commitment to Jesus as we come to know Him. As we come to know Jesus - we come to know who we are in Him. Meaning, our new nature which is Christ in us. That nature grows and is perfected in us as we listen intently to His words, value them deeply because of Who they reveal and the result is trust in Him. As we behold that image we are changed into it from one level of glory to another level of glory by the inward working of the Holy Spirit!
