Paul to the Galatians... UNDER the Curse of the Law? Series: Maintaining this Hope The Law serves as a tutor to lead us to Christ - not just initially but throughout our lives. Throughout the New Testament, as well as in this letter, Paul highlights the difference between the Old Testament and the Old Covenant - they ARE different. Paul ardently stands against ANY doctrine or ANYONE who marginalizes Jesus by attempting to gain righteousness, justification or the Spirit by the WORKS of the Law. Today, many Christians misunderstand Paul's words assuming that he demonizes the law, and considers it evil and done away with, when in reality Paul only says that our relationship to the law has ended in regard to righteousness. He still calls the Law... Holy, Just and Good. Here in Galatians chapter 4 through the middle of chapter 5, Paul addresses what it means to be UNDER the Law in regard to righteousness. In this lesson we also address what Paul meant when he said that we have been redeemed from the "curse" of the Law. I hope this will be a blessing, and it most likely will be for those who have eyes to see. Blessings!
