Because you are precious to Me, I will hand over nations for your life Thru the Bible: Isaiah 42-44 From before the sin and separation of mankind, God has searched for hearts which would be devoted to Him. These, when He finds them, become the center of all His attention. He pours Himself into them, in guidance, love, devotion & loyalty. His desire is to separate the world and its influence out of them, making them a people separated unto Him - like a spouce to their mate. He does this by speaking to us, teaching us, wooing us, warning us and even in judging and chastising us. As the scriptures say, "Whomever the Lord loves He chastens...". As the objects of His devotion all that God does in the earth has His people at its center. Sadly, the hearts of mankind are hopelessly fickle and God has to correct us due to our rebellious ways. However, once He secures a rekindling of our devotions and affections - He will move heaven and earth to bless and restore them - even to the point of spending other nations for their lives.
