Series: Holy Spirit - Helper & Friend This was the commission of Saul and Barnabus into the ministry - their calling into the work of an Apostle. Importantly, those the Spirit commissioned to send them out, were busy doing the work THEY were called to and Fasting when the Spirit led them regarding this matter. Then in order to send them out they fasted even more - thus revealing a role which Fasting played in the early church that in subsequent generation seems to have been lost. So today we looked at the role and promises surrounding fasting in the New Testament church. Blessings!
