Dreams, Visions & God's audacious favor Thru the Bible: Daniel 1-3 We have finally begun going through this much anticipated book. Daniel was a very young when Judah was exiled to Babulon under Nebuchadnezzer. Being handsome, of noble descent and very bright he was selected (along with 3 other notable young Israelite men) to train for service before the king. God gave special wisdom and understanding to them all, but gave the ability to interpret dreams and visions to Daniel as well. This was all a set up from God to deliver as many as possible, even while His people were being judged in captivity. This segment of the book covers two statues - 1 froma dream which Daniel interpreted and a 2nd which the king had constructed of himself for people to bow down and worship. These are two major events from Daniel and his friend's lives and how God used them to influence a king and to literally set in motion events which would influence the world to the end! Blessings!
