The wilderness will become an orchard and the orchard will be considered a forest Thru the Bible: Isaiah 29-33 Israel was coming under judgment and Assyria was the largest manifestation of that judgment, but God was not pleased that His people were going to suffer. His compassions were stirred even though their rebellion was still in full bloom. This put God in a position of waiting to show them mercy. God is Good! Israel was not to place their hope and faith in God...at least not at first. They turned first to Egypt. So God frustrated their efforts and made Egypt incapable of helping them. In the interim Israel is compared to the forest of Lebanon, but not in a good way. God is looking for fruit and Israel is a nation of fruitless trees. However, God thinks of Israel's future - both when they are delivered from Assyria and during the Millennial kingdom - at which time He says that though they are like a wilderness they will become a fruitful orchard and that the orchard will be SO fruitful it will be considered a forest of fruit trees. Blessings!
