The Spirit prepares the Bride Series: Maintaining this Hope As we are wrapping up this year's focus on maintaining our hope of the return of Jesus, we are shifting our attention to the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit Who is the One preparing us for Jesus' return. We began with a mention of the parable of Jesus regarding the 10 Virgins. In His parable there were only two kinds. 5 who were ready and 5 who were not. These were represented by 5 whose oil lamps were filled and 5 whose lampst were empty which represents being filled with the Spirit. So, we began this week by starting to look at Jesus' introduction of His disciples to the Spirit of God, Who He would pray the Father to send us...to prepare us for His return. Some of these beginning passages are found in John 14-16. Today, after a fair amount of introduction and preamble we got only to verse 17 in chapter 14. I honestly pray this portion of this series opens eyes and romances hearts to be sensitive and begin to respond to the leading, promptings and fellowship we have with the Holy Spirit of Truth.
