God opens the heart to hear the message Series: Holy Spirit - Helper & Friend Paul and Silas find a young man Timothy who was brought up by his mother and grandmother who were ardent believers who lived their faith with passion. As a result, Timothy came to the faith and was was a man mightily used by God along with Paul in his apostolic ministry. Then we see Paul and Silas being forbidden by the Spirit to preach the gospel in certain cities, but was called to Philippi in Macedonia. There they met Lydia, a god fearing woman who came to faith in Christ and who was among Paul's first ongoing financial ministry partners.
