Israel's Sin, America's Mirror Thru the Bible: Isaiah 3-7 Beginning here in Isaiah 3, the Lord begins to describe Israel’s offenses and their resulting judgments, beginning with the removal of every thing in which they placed reliance for their safety and security. God knocks the props out from underneath them causing them to see that they had built their house upon sand. He then addresses their individual sins of exaltation of women above men, mistreatment of the poor and idolatry. It isn't hard to see that Israel's sins and God's judgments of them are a fitting illustration of God’s potential attitude and future actions toward North America and the modern world at large.
