The final week of Daniel's prophecy Thru the Bible: Daniel 9:26-27 This week we finished tackling the dating riddle Gabriel presented to Daniel. In studying Daniel it is imperative to remember that Gabriel came to speak with Daniel about the troubles of his heartregarding his people. He had been fasting and praying over them and seeking God's face regarding their place in God's future plans and purposes. So Gabriel's answer was according to the question - it was all about Israel and their Messiah. As such, nothing in these words or enigma's touch on the current time of the Gentiles. It is as if the rebuilding of Jerusalem, the coming of Messiah and the final week of Daniel's 70 weeks are occur congruently and seemlessly. In reality there is at least a 2,000 year gap in which we experience what Paul refers to as the time of the Gentiles, which ends with the rapture of the church. All of this Daniel does not see and Gabriel does not address, and with this in mind, the final week of Daniel's prophecy becomes immediately clear. May God bless you in your pursuit of Him!
