Obviously, you don’t change a toilet very often, so when the time comes to replace one I always encourage everyone to get the best toilet they can. It is easy to think in the short-term about the price of the toilet, but long-term what is the cost of the toilet? What I mean by the best toilet you can get is the one with the highest flush rating possible. The flush rating, also called the MaP rating, of almost every toilet ever made can be found here: https://www.map-testing.com/assets/files/2021-09-24-All_tank-type_toilets.pdf It’s really pretty straight forward, the higher the number, the better the flush. I generally prefer to install Gerber toilets, but there are a countless number of quality toilets from plenty of brands that will serve you well.
