Some of our patients wonder how long they’ll have to take off from work or school to recover from for wisdom teeth removal. It all depends on your unique case and experience. Most patients can resume their normal activities about 24 (minimum) to 48 hours after the procedure. However, some may experience more pain, swelling and bleeding, and will need to take additional time off of work. Have one of our trusted dentist examine your teeth, (or the development of you or child’s teeth). If the doctor recommends wisdom teeth removal, you will want to learn some basics about the process so you can plan effectively. As a note: If wisdom teeth removal is done during the school year, your child will need to be excused from school for no less than three, preferably five days.
