WayApp Pay selected as one of thirteen fintech startups to start the first edition of the BBVA Open Innovation Acceleration Program. The nine-month program, managed by Adventurees, had its kick-off meeting on September 23rd in the BBVA Open Space building in Madrid, where Oscar Anzola (Co-Founder) explained to the audience the business concept and plans. The program will end with the Texas - Spain Investment Forum on June 25, 2020. Similar to Visa® and MasterCard® networks, WayApp Pay is a payment network made-up by merchants that accept WayApp Pay as a new QR payment method. Merchants can additionally chose to issue their own WayApp Pay QR card. Users install a WayApp Pay payment QR card on their mobile's Google Pay (Android) or Apple Wallet (iPhone), and pay by either showing their QR or scanning the merchant's.
