In Honor of Black History month, I would like to recognize Grand Master Harold Lee Hankins. G.M. Hankins was the first black owned and operated martial arts school in Norfolk, Va. He was given permission to open and operate the dojang (studio) by his instructor G.M. Ki Whang Kim. August 16,1969 along with Master Leon Nicholson, and Master Gaylord Patterson.
