*Powering your home with an EV* There is a new revolution coming in home energy storage and usage, bi-directional charging equipped electric vehicles. Many of the coming EVs, such as the Ford 150 Lightning shown in the photo, will now be able to both draw power from your home and give it back. It does take a special interconnect however that is wired into your house to enable this ...unless you already have a SolarEdge EnergyHub system. The EnergyHub is already equipped to be able to handle bi-directional charging and hooking it into the new F-150 Lightning will only require the addition of the SolarEdge SmartCharger station and a firmware update. Imagine the security of knowing that your Energyhub will not only allow you to recharge the pickup's 115 kWh Li-ion battery (150 kWh optional) directly from your solar array, it will also be able to draw that stored power from your Lightning if the grid goes down!
