There are just days to go before repair work is completed on the roof and the 700 tonnes of scaffolding covering the East Front of the house is dismantled. Tours end on Sunday 16 August. Never again will members of the public be able to climb to the rafters and see the house and surrounding gardens and countryside from this stunning perspective. To ensure as many supporters as possible can take up this fascinating and unique experience, guided tours will be running into the early evening from Monday August 10 to Friday August 14.
