Vitamin D and the sun --- Vitamin D is important to keep your muscles and bones healthy. Most of our vitamin D comes from the sun acting on our skin. The amount of sun exposure required varies - depending on your skin type, conditions of the day and time of the day. To maintain good vitamin D levels, 10 to 30 minutes of sun per day is all that is needed. But, too much sun exposure can damage skin - it's all about balancing your sun exposure. For more information, see the Cancer Council page about the sun and vitamin D at https://www.cancer.org.au/cancer-information/causes-and-prevention/sun-safety/vitamin-d
