While being a mobile notary provides a major convenience for our clients, there will still be times that we just aren't available to provide our services. Maybe they found your contact information and didn't realize that you were not in their county. Maybe you're completely booked and you don't have time in your day to serve them. Even in both of those situations, they can still be your client! Just because YOU can't notarize their documents, doesn't mean that you can't help them. Here are ways to help a signer locate a notary if you're not available: 1. Redirect the signer to their banking institution 2. Suggest they contact their local city hall or another government office 3. Redirect the signer to their local UPS Store. (Store times, notary availability and services may vary.) If the locations mentioned above no longer provide notary services due to the pandemic, consider taking it a step further by: 1. Making a list of local, active notaries as a referral resource. 2. Doing a quick Google search of mobile notaries in their area and connecting them with that notary. (Reach out to the notary to let them know someone will be calling them.) Good business practices include more than just making a sale or profit. They also include providing additional services to those in need.
