Spiritual Care During Hospice Care in Atlanta
Spiritual care is one of the many services we provide our patients when requested. Our goal is to accommodate patients and families from all cultures and walks of life and that includes a spectrum of:
● fluid spiritual connections
● strong religious traditions
● those who hold no specific beliefs
Religion and spirituality are two very complex concepts. The complexities of the two are attributed to how they are defined to different groups and individuals. As a result, we avoid focusing on a singular aspect of either religion or spirituality.
The role of the spiritual care counselor is to offer ministry to the patient and their family. Furthermore, it involves active listening and a reflective presence plus whatever may be required in the way of emotional and spiritual counseling.
