There is currently a national shortage of Oestrogel. There is only one other alternative Oestrogen gel HRT in the UK – Sandrena Please see this table for the equivalent dosage of Sandrena. Technically, the higher doses exceed the UK licence for Sandrena gel, however there is no safety concern with exceeding the dose as per the licence as this amount of Oestrogen remains in the licence for Oestrogel. 1 pump of Oestrogel contains 0.75 mg ethinyloestradiol, which is equivalent to One and half x 0.5mg sachet of Sandrena 2 pumps of Oestrogel contain 1.5 mg ethinyloestradiol, which is equivalent to One x1mg sachet + One x 0.5mg sachets of Sandrena 3 pumps of Oestrogel contain 2.25 mg ethinyloestradiol, which is equivalent to Two x1mg sachet + half x 0.5mg sachets of Sandrena 4 pumps of Oestrogel contain 3 mg ethinyloestradiol, which is equivalent to Three x1mg sachet of Sandrena
