A FEW THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT USING GOOGLE PAY: Your physical Card number is not saved in Google Pay. Instead, for security purposes, a virtual account number has been created for your Card on this device. This number is unique to your device and different from your physical Card number. If your Card is replaced, you'll still be able to use Google Pay while your new Card is on its way. You won't have to add your new Card account information to Google Pay. You'll receive transaction notifications whenever you use your Card, whether or not you use your Card with Google Pay. Some notifications may be for temporary or pending charges, such as pre-authorizations at gas stations and hotels. For the most up-to-date transaction information, log into your account at americanexpress.com or in the American Express® App. When you pay in stores, Google Pay uses an encrypted number instead of your actual card number, so your card details stay safe. Using the card you just added, you can enter payment info with a tap when you’re signed in to Chrome. Purchases made using your Card with Google Pay will be marked as "GglPay" on your statement.
