Do you meditate? OR like so many others do you struggle to do it on your own? Just some of benefits of meditation include reducing stress & anxiety, clearing the mind, decreasing blood pressure and improving sleep. We try to as often as possible, but we often find it hard to fit into our busy schedules. Did you know that shiatsu has a similar effect to meditation on your mind? Meditation is about being aware of your breath, and similarly Masa will time his bodywork to rhythmically match your pattern of respiration. After an hour-long session of having your body kneaded, tapped and stretched many of our clients will often say “I feel as though I have just awoken from a deep sleep,” or “I feel like I have just finished the longest meditation session ever!” Similarly, acupuncture can also be very relaxing, Mark uses techniques developed by the late world-famous Dr Richard Tan to heal emotional issues, slow down an overactive mind and even help with insomnia. Clients will also often remark when they leave the treatment room that they feel so much more grounded and their body free of tension. Both modalities Shiatsu and Acupuncture can be beneficial for both tight and sore muscles and conditions such as Sciatica and back pain, but equally effective for psych emotional disorders and to allow us to put the busy thought traffic out of our mind.
