National Small Business Week celebrates the vital role of small businesses in the United States economy. This year, the event takes place from May 1-7. According to the Small Business Administration, small businesses account for more than half of all U.S. employment and create two out of every three new jobs in America. This week is also an opportunity to highlight the achievements of America’s small business owners and entrepreneurs. Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. During National Small Business Week, we honor the hardworking entrepreneurs who own and operate these businesses.
