Tips for relief
We at Winston Salem Chiropractor, have helped hundreds of people relieve their pain. Here are some tips to relieve the pain.
For any pain, the first thing to use is “ice” or “heat” or both, depending on the pain.
The clue to use any of them is that if you have been under a trauma, you should use ice. It should be applied in the first 72 hours after the injury.
If you are tired of working hard or you were involved in a car accident, you can use ice to relieve the pain. You can use ice for the first 3 days after the injury.
But if you have chronic pain for more than 3 days you should use heat. Apply it in the painful area, for less than 30 minutes.
Both ice and heat should be wrapped in a towel or any piece of clothing to avoid direct contact with the area.
If you get sleepy, don’t sleep with the heat, it could cause inflammation.
