Contrary to expections, the service at the War Memorial did go ahead, under very strict conditions and was very well organised. It is thought about 100 people were in attendance, albeit very well spread out. Hymns and music were pre-recorded, and there was no singing. In many ways, it was as normal a Remembrance Day as could be managed under very straightened circumstances.
